2014年11月22日-29日，应微生物功能基因组创新团队林敏研究员的邀请，德国联邦栽培植物研究中心的Kornelia Smalla教授及Dorren Babin博士对我所进行了为期一周的学术交流与访问。Kornelia Smalla教授是国际微生物生态研究领域的著名专家，主要从事根际微生物群落分析及细菌抗药性基因的迁移转化研究, 目前担任ISME、Applied and Environmental Microbiology、FEMS Microbiology、BMC Microbiology等杂志的编委。

    11月27日，在所216会议室，Kornelia Smalla教授及Dorren Babin博士分别做了题为“The effects of different bio-effectors in low P soils”和“Establishment and dynamics of soil microbial communities and their response to pollutant and litter amendment”的报告，介绍了她们在各自领域取得的最新研究成果。微生物功能基因组创新团队的徐玉泉研究员和陆伟副研究员也分别做了题为“Observing the invisible through imaging mass spectrometry”和“Effect of Glyphosate on Bacterial Community Structure in Rhizosphere of Rice Innoculated with Nitrogen-fixing Bacterium P. stutzeri A1501”的学术报告，展示了团队在微生物次生代谢物分离与鉴定、草甘膦施用对作物根际微生物群落影响的研究进展。

    访问期间，Kornelia Smalla教授和Dorren Babin博士与微生物功能基因组创新团队的广大师生就前期合作取得的阶段性成果进行了广泛而深入的交流，就今后双方的进一步合作达成意向。
