研究目标:利用水稻等C3植物、玉米等C4植物突变体、中间材料及核心种质,研究C4植物叶片解剖学结构形成机制与生化途径进化机理,克隆高光效基因;利用合成生物学、基因组编辑等技术,设计、优化和重构光合作用回路,提高光合作用效率;研究植物无融合生殖分子机理,创制无融合生殖牧草材料,提高无性生殖的结实率。
Research Objectives: Using mutants, intermediate and core germplasm collections of C3 and C4 plants, studying molecular mechanisms of C4 leaf anatomy, molecular evolution mechanisms of C4 anatomy and biochemical pathways, and cloning photosynthesis efficient genes. Designing, optimizing and reconstructing photosynthetic pathways using synthetic biology and gene editing technologies. Studying molecular mechanism of apomixes, producing apomictic plant materials and improving parthenogenesis efficiency of alfalfa.
