1980至1984年在河北农业大学学习，获学士学位； 1984至1998年在河北省农林科学院谷子研究所工作，任研究实习员、助理研究员、副研究员； 1992至1998年在中国农科院研究生院攻读研究生，获硕士、博士学位； 1998至2000年在中国科学院植物研究所博士后流动站工作； 2000至今在中国农科院生物技术研究所工作，任副研究员、研究员、研究室主任。

社会兼职：国家生物基因工程安全委员会委员，生物化学与分子生物学会农业分会秘书长。
