Agricultural Genomics 2017 – Functional Genomics toward Green Crops for Sustainable Agriculture

    October 25-27, 2017

Conference Hall, National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement, Wuhan, China

Presented by the National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement, Huazhong Agricultural University, China Golden Marker (Beijing) Biotech Co., Ltd., Nature GeneticsNature Plants, and Nature Communications

In recent years, agricultural production is facing serious challenges. The contradiction between the population growth, the traditional mode of crop production and resource environment is increasing. The breeding of green crops based on agricultural genomics is becoming the key to solving these problems. The conference will present recent genomic breakthroughs aiming to the green technologies of plant breeding and the green goals “Less pesticides, Less fertilizers, water saving and stress resistance, high yield and superior quality, increasing productivity of medium-to-low yielding lands”, for global food security.

The conference will feature keynote speeches, plenary speeches by world-renowned experts in the field, and poster presentations contributed by the participants, to discuss the progress of modern genomics and accelerate the genetic improvement of crops and promote the healthy development of sustainable agriculture.
