Agricultural Biotechnology Specialized Committee (ABPC) belongs to Chinese Society of Biological Engineering(CSBE), and is affiliated to Biotechnology Research Institute, CAAS. ABPC-CSBE engages in promotion of academic research and exchanges in the field of agricultural biotechnology, so to provide service for the prosperity and development of agricultural biotechnology and industry.

The main tasks of ABPC-CSBE are: to carry out agricultural biotechnology research and academic communication; to deal with the relevant science and technology project demonstration and evaluation; to develop science and technology consultation and to provide suggestions on related policies and regulations; to hold seminars, training courses and exhibitions to promote the popularization and application of agricultural biotechnology achievements; to organize the non-governmental international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation.
